Here at Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park, we’ve noticed that more drivers are looking for greener cars these days. You don’t have to sacrifice style to lower your carbon footprint though. The Mercedes-Benz brand already offers some capable green cars and now it’s getting ready to really tackle this market. The EQ brand of green vehicles is coming soon.

The first EQ model was introduced at last year’s Paris Motor Show. Soon new Mercedes-Benz vehicles that are electrified will be given a special badge that shows that they’re outfitted with advanced green technology. One of the first cars to get this treatment will be the Mercedes-Benz S 560e plug-in hybrid, a European model. The Mercedes-Benz GLC C-Cell fuel-cell and even the Mercedes-Benz Project One hypercar will also be a part of this brand.

Any electric or hybrid models developed by Mercedes-Benz engineers will come equipped with a badge that shows off their “EQ Power.” Mercedes-AMG vehicles that use green tech will get their own badge that says “EQ Power+.” These vehicles will prove that a green car can be just as fun to drive as a car that uses a traditional combustion engine.

Each EQ vehicle will be sleek and stylish. Most concepts we’ve seen so far wouldn’t look out of place in a science fiction movie. These models will offer the luxury, performance, and unique features that you expect from the vehicles on our lot, along with a dose of advanced electrification technology.
