It’s no secret that green car technology has been evolving rapidly in recent years. In fact, a whole Mercedes-Benz sub-brand of new green cars is actually in the works right now. Here at Mercedes-Benz of Orange Park, we’ve been paying close attention to news about the upcoming Mercedes EQ, and now we’ve learned about a new green luxury sedan that’s sure to impress drivers no matter what they’re searching for.
Many people thought that the Mercedes EQ brand would just get an electrified version of a current model, but it looks like that won’t be the case. Instead, the green car brand will get its own bespoke electric sedan—expect it to be roughly the same size as the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class. You’ll be able to take advantage of the latest green car technology in style with a new Mercedes EQ vehicle sometime in the next few years.
This model would join the Mercedes EQ A hatchback and the Mercedes EQ C SUV in the brand’s electric lineup. Each one is a part of the brand’s larger plans to develop ten new electric models by 2025. Every one of these vehicles will be built on the same Modular Electric Architecture, which means that they’ll share a few different design cues. The Mercedes EQ C will likely be the first vehicle to reach the market and it could offer a range of up to 310 miles. Expect a Mercedes EQ sedan to offer a similar range. You won’t have to worry about one of these cars running out of juice before you reach your destination.
