At a recent event in Stockholm, Mercedes-Benz showed off two versions of its X-Class pickup truck concept. A white truck was outfitted with the latest in luxury features, like a wood-trimmed interior, while the green truck was ready to take on tough off-road conditions. A Mercedes-Benz model may not be the first car that comes to mind when you’re thinking about going on a trailblazing adventure, but the X-Class concept will change that.
This truck would offer a full suite of special features and high-end options that you find in other Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The top tier version of this mid-size pickup would come equipped with an advanced all-wheel drive system and a six-cylinder diesel engine capable of towing more than three tons. Mercedes-Benz was a pioneer in the luxury SUV segment, and it might just be able to do the same thing for the luxury pickup truck market when the X-Class arrives in showrooms next year.
The only bad news is that the United States isn’t listed as an initial market for this unique vehicle.
